Inhibition of proliferation of T lymphocyte subpopulations in left inguinal nodes in EAE mice following OGF or LDN treatment. Total lymphocytes isolated from the left inguinal nodes of mice immunized with MOG35–55 and injected daily with 10 mg/kg OGF (OGF), 0.1 mg/kg naltrexone (LDN), or 0.1 ml saline (saline); normal mice received saline at each injection point. The left inguinal node was considered “draining” on day 12, 5 days following injection on the left flank. Lymphocytes from 3–4 mice per treatment at 5 and 12 days were isolated, labeled, and sorted by flow cytometry. Values represent means ± SEM. Significantly different from normal mice at p < 0.05 (*), p < 0.01 (**), and p < 0.001 (***), and from saline-treated immunized mice at p < 0.05 (+).
